caribe has been delighting audiences all over the Southland since 2001. This dynamic caribbean band features tenor steel drum, rhythm guitar and a percussion. Performance locations include the greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Catalina and more!

Leader and founder of caribe, Angie Tabor began playing tenor steel drum at CSU, Long Beach while earning a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance. She went on to earn a Master of Music in Percussion Performance at the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to maintaining a busy performing schedule within the greater Los Angeles area, she has performed with a variety of ensembles that have taken her across the US and the globe.


Guitarist Jimmy Cheesman is a Los Angeles based guitarist, composer and educator. As a free lance guitarist and session player Jimmy has played and recorded many styles of music. As a studio musician Jimmy has recorded his own solo jazz album and various sessions for producers and clients.

Jimmy received a Masters of Music in Studio/Jazz Guitar Performance from University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music from California State University Long Beach, with an emphasis in Jazz Studies.


Percussionist Erik Leckrone has performed with a wide variety of ensembles, and projects throughout the United States and abroad. Originally from Middleton, WI, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from Northern Illinois University and his Masters degree in Percussion Performance from California State University, Long Beach.

Along with freelancing in the Los Angeles area, Erik is currently percussion instructor at Fullerton College and staff accompanist for the dance programs at Chapman Univ. and the Univ. of California, at Irvine.
