Steelpan musician & vocalist, leader & founder of Caribe, Angie’s passion for the steelpans and the music of the Caribbean was ignited in 1994 when they began playing Tenor steelpan while studying music performance at CSU, Long Beach. In 2011, Angie purchased a set of Double Second pans hand made by Dave Beery at Dave’s Island Instruments. Angie fell in love with the pans all over again, and the warm timbre of the Double Seconds’ lower range. Double Seconds are now Angie’s primary steelpan instrument.

Caribe has been delighting audiences as featured entertainment for concerts in the park & on the dock, on main stages for festivals, as a live soundtrack for private events at yacht clubs, country clubs and even backyards for birthday & retirement parties, baby showers and more — imagine an unforgettable island-themed holiday celebration!
